Marineland Antibes was founded in 1970 by Roland de la Poype. At first it was a small oceanarium, but nowadays it features two Cetacean species, Bottlenose Dolphins and Orcas. In 1970 the park also purchased the first orcas. On the 25th of July in 2006 the park was soldto the Spanish amusement park group Parques Reunidos.
