 About Tai

Tai was an adult male captured on February 26, 1979. He was caught off Taiji Bay along with other orcas and was immediately sent to the Taiji Whal Museum where he remained until his death. It's unknown if he was used for performances although he was one of the biggest orcas ever captured. He died in June 1982, the cause of death is still unknown.
