About
Stella / ステラ Stella was the dominant female at KSW. She is the mother of the two living calves at the park and one at Port of Nagoya Aquarium. Like every orca at KSW, she is trained for
waterworks and was doing really well (it is unknown at the moment if waterworks will continue at PONA). She has never shown any aggression
to her trainers and even lets them come near her calves.
In 2007, Bingo, Stella and Ran were moved and have been kept in the back pool since the birth her grandson, Earth who was born in 2008. Currently she is still in the back pools .
There were plans for her being moved to Nagoya Public Aquarium to join Bingop and Nami at the aquairum but due to the latest Tsunami, the move has been postponed. Finally, on December 13th, Stella, being 7 months pregnant was moved to Port of Nagoya Aquarium, along with her daughter Ran II and mate, Bingo.
We await news on their progress.
