  About Shawn (SWC-OO-7802)

In 1978 a young female was captured off the coast of Iceland along with 6 orcas. She was sent to Saedyrasafnid Aquarium, where she and the other whales waited for their final home. Shawn and 3 other orcas were purchased by SeaWorld. All of them with the exception of Katina, they went to SeaWorld San Diego.  Unfortunately Shawn's stay wasn't long as she died on September 3rd, 1979.
