  About Nova
Nova was one of many orcas born at Marineland's King Waldorf Theatre. The pools were tiny and the young calves were soon sent to the back area, an indoor pool called the "warehouse". Fortunately a new complex was built with more space for the orcas which meant Nova and his family were finally reunited. Friendship Cove was a place for retired performers, orca shows were held at the King Waldorf Theatre.

For the summer seasons, the captive orcas were moved there for performances, Neocia* and Nova were chosen, because they were old enough to be on their own; Neocia was extremely dominant and often harrassed Nova*. His stay at King Waldorf Theatre was not long, he died in August 2001, but Marineland denied his death for some months.
