  About Malik
Malik was born at Marineland's King Waldorf Theatre. Due to lack of space, she was probably sent to the "warehouse", an indoor pool along with some other young orcas. When the construction of the new pool, Friendship Cove was completed in 1998, Malik was immediately sent there with the other members of her pod.

Since her birth, Malik had a weak immune system and could catch any illness quickly. Surprisingly she survived the first critical years. Due to her weakness, she was attacked by her mother Nootka V* very often, who probably wanted to stop the suffering of her daughter. Because of these continously aggressions, Malik was put with her father Kandu VII*, who was very laid-back and a great companion for her.
Although Malik did very well for almost 4 years, her immune system finally failed and she passed away on March 4, 2000.
