  About K'yosha
K'yosha was the second orca to be born at Vancouver Aquarium. She immediately took her first breath after the birth. Sadly, for the second time Bjossa* wasn't able to produce enough milk for her calf.

The staff interfered and separatd Bjossa and K'yosha. K'yosha was placed in another tank with a white-sided dolphin called Whitewings, where she was tube-fed many times a day. She did very well and gained weight.

She died unexpectedly in January from a brain infection.
