  About King / キン

King was captured along with Keiko*, Caren* and an unnamed female in October 1979. All four orcas were sent to Saedyrasafnid Aquarium where they waited for their transfers.

At first, King moved to Hansapark Sierksdorf in Germany for a few weeks as part of the Travelling Delphin Show before being moved to
Marineland Ontario for a few weeks and was finalyl moved to his new home in Kamogawa Sea World.

It is thought that Caren* and an unnamed female orca were destined for Japan but the died before the transfer so King was selected to be moved to Japan.

After several training sessions King performed during shows along with his tank mate Caren*. King only performed for 3 years as he sadly on October 4, 1983 he passed away; the cause of death was one of the most common diseases, pneumonia.
