  About Kim
Kim (also known as Brian / Johana) was the first orca to be captured off the Southeast coast of Iceland in October 1976. He was kept in a harbour before being sold on and moved to a marine park in France, Marineland Antibes.

It wasn't long before he was the star attraction of the park and two years later, the park searched for a mate for Kim so in 1978 he was joined by a female orca, called Betty *. Both of them got along well and performed alongside eachother but sadly, after 5 years in captivity, Kim died of a lung abscess in July 1982.

Little is known about Kim's life in captivity
