Ikaika is a young, playful male orca who was born at SeaWorld Orlando and moved to Marineland Ontario at the age of 4 on a loan in exchange for belugas. At his birth place SeaWorld, he was really close to his mother, Katina and his brother, Taku*; but now he is showing his independent and interactive side. At Marineland, he became best friends with Athena* and the adult, Kiska. He did very well and quickly got used to his new environment.

He was one of Marineland's best performers and during the shows which are called Splash Sessions, he shows many different types of behaviours he had learned at SeaWorld.

When Athena died, Ikaika was alone with Kiska and the pair was often separated because Ikaika would start the mis behave and unintentionally harass Kiska, who was still mourning her daughter's death.

In 2011, SeaWorld took Marineland to court over how they were treating Ikaika as Marineland wasn't meeting SeaWorld's veterinary, husbandry or training obligations in care. SeaWorld won the case and Ikaika was moved back to SeaWorld; this time, he moved to the San Diego park.

Sadly, he has not had the best start at SeaWorld as he is often raked however, he has found a friend in Corky II, Orkid and Ulises.
