Freya has always been the dominant female at MLF since Betty died in 1987. She is a very long and slender female orca. Although she went through many pregnancies, only one of her children has survived to this day and this is Valentin; her other pregnancies ended up in a stillborn. Since she suffered from deep depressions after each stillbirth, she was put on birth control and it’s uncertain if she will ever be pregnant again. 

Freya has a white dot on her left side which was due to a tumour. The tumor was removed back in 1995 and only the spot remains as any evidence of the procedure. During performances she can put all her energy in behaviours, yet it is the travelling belly flop she puts the most energy into. 

She is still used in shows and performs some behaviours that Valentin, Inouk and Wikie do not know and as she is the dominant female, she can decide if there is a show or not.
