  About Canuck (27)
Canuck (J24) was one of many orcas captured off Carr Inlet in Washington, USA. It is believed he is the grandson of J2 / Granny. The other orcas were released but Canuck was kept and he was soon taken to SeaWorld San Diego.

Canuck was pretty young, barely 3 years old. He joined the summer shows at Ohio as there was limited tank space at SeaWorld San Diego. Sadly he didn't spent much time at the parks as he passed away on December 1, 1974. He died from Candidiasis, which is a fungal infection.
