About
Bingo / ビンゴ Bingo,
(also known
as Thor), was
the oldest orca at Kamogawa Sea World and he was the main breeding male
at the park. All calves that were born there prior 2008 were fathered
by him.
He is a very gentle orca and has met all his offspring when they were at a veryyoung age. Despite his size and age waterworks were done with him at Kamogawa (it is unknown at the moment if waterworks will continue at PONA). He has never shown any aggression to his trainers and is a really good performer.
In 2007, Bingo, Stella and Ran were moved and have been kept in the back pool since the birth his grandson, Earth who was born in 2008.
There were plans for his being moved to Nagoya Public Aquarium to join Bingo and Nami at the aquairum but due to the latest Tsunami, the move has been postponed.
Finally, on December 13th, Bingo was moved to Port of Nagoya Aquarium, along with his daughter Ran II and mate, Stella. The three orcas seem to enjoy their new home and are being slowly introduced to the pool complex.
