About
Baby Shamu II (SWC-OO-8626)Kenau* gave birth to a
female calf
after a long 4 hour labour; at first, the calf seemed healthy,
she was
nursing fine and bonding well with her mother. A week or so after
birth, the calf began to show signs of breathing problems. The vets
quickly put her under medical
treatment, but she didn't respond and died one day
later.
