In February 2006, four young orcas arrived at Loro Parque Tenerife. The small pod soon developed their own social structure. The dominant female is, with no doubt is Kohana. She even tries to push the bigger males out of her way and often with success. Except for the dominance issues, the four orcas get along well and are most of the time together. During shows they are sometimes separated; Kohana and Keto form the first group and Tekoa and Skyla perform second. But the grouping often varies and the finale of the show is most of time performed by all four orcas. As for now, everyone gets along very well, but those orcas are young and two of them are maturing soon. So no one knows if the social structure will change. Tekoa seems to be a bit laid-back and often isolates himself from the group. Keto gets annoyed when he is separated from the others and sometimes runs into the gates.
